Andrews

Scott Andrews, Ed.D. was appointed as the new county manager of Doña Ana County by the Board of County Commissioners on August 13, 2024 and took the helm as County Manager on October 7, 2024. Andrews brings to Doña Ana County more than 21 years of experience in public sector administration with extensive experience in economic development, quality of life initiatives, community relations, consensus building, and modernization of municipal organizations. 

Prior to joining Doña Ana County, Andrews served as Assistant City Manager of Bakersfield, CA, City Manager for the City of Covington, GA, Assistant City Manager in Smyrna, GA, Economic Development Director in Sugar Hill, GA and multiple leadership roles in Temple Terrace, FL.

Andrews has a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, a Master of Public Administration, and a doctorate in Organizational Leadership. Dr. Andrews takes pride in adhering to best practices and has received leadership certificates from Harvard, Stanford, Yale, etc. Scott also holds the prestigious Credentialed Manager designation from International City/County Manager Association (ICMA).

A native of Tampa, with deep roots in Atlanta, Andrews is a first-generation U.S. born citizen and college graduate. He is married to his better half, Danielle. They have one child in heaven (Violet) and one on Earth (Miles).
